Celebrating Earth Month: Small Actions, Lasting Impact

Earth Month is a time to reflect on the relationship we share with the natural world and the responsibility we carry to protect it. Our connection to the outdoors isn’t just part of what we do, it’s part of who we are. From muddy trails to open coastlines, the environments we explore with our dogs are worth protecting.

That’s why, over the past three years, we’ve proudly committed 1% of our annual turnover to environmental and animal-focused charities through our partnership with 1% for the Planet. This commitment isn’t a marketing gesture, it’s a long-term investment in the health of our planet and the wellbeing of animals and our planet.

Here’s a look at the incredible organisations we’ve supported, and the impact they’re making every day:

We’ve contributed to Nature’s SAFE, a pioneering wildlife cryo-biobank preserving living cells from endangered species, making efforts to safeguard biodiversity for future generations.

Through Trash Free Trails, we’re helping reconnect people with nature by tackling single-use pollution. Their simple but powerful approach - removing litter from wild spaces creates immediate, visible change.

Dogs themselves are making a difference too, thanks to Working Dogs for Conservation. By training rescue dogs into expert conservation canines, they’re protecting wildlife and habitats across the globe.

Closer to home, National Animal Welfare Trust works tirelessly to rescue and re-home animals, striving for a future where every pet has a safe, loving home.

Our oceans need help too, and Marine Conservation Society has been leading the charge for over 40 years protecting marine life, influencing policy, and safeguarding the seas we all depend on.

We’ve also supported The Felix Project, which rescues surplus food and redistributes it to communities in need, reducing waste and supporting millions of people.

Through StreetVet, essential veterinary care is delivered to the pets of people experiencing homelessness.

Globally, International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) works on the frontlines to protect animals from poaching, habitat loss, and environmental threats, both on land and at sea.

We’re also proud to support Sumatran Orangutan Society, which protects orangutans and their rainforest habitats through community-led conservation efforts. Orangutans are Lois's favourite animals (after dogs) so this is a charity close to Twiggy Tags' heart.

And beyond the UK, MSPCA-Angell continues to provide vital care, advocacy, and protection for vulnerable animals in need.

Every purchase made with us contributes to something bigger. Whether it’s protecting endangered species, cleaning up trails, or helping a dog find a loving home, that 1% adds up to real and measurable change.

Earth Month reminds us that collective action matters. For us, this commitment lasts all year round because the places we explore with our dogs today should still be there tomorrow.
